Past Events

Animal Awareness organizes peaceful demonstrations and leafleting in the Baltimore area for the purpose of public education. Until the animals have legislation to liberate them, public education is their only hope. If the public did not patronize establishments who practice animal cruelty, then it would no longer exist.
KFC Protest with the band Goldfinger - Saturday, Oct. 25, 2:45pm
PETA, Animal Awareness, and the band Goldfinger

From PETA: "We're demanding that KFC stop breeding and drugging animals, causing them to become crippled under their own weight or to suffer from heart failure or lung collapse by the millions; stop slaughtering animals in a manner that causes many to be scalded to death or drowned in feather-removal tanks; stop gathering chickens in a manner that breaks millions of the animals' wings and legs; and give the animals some modicum of mental and physical stimulation in their sheds."

PETA's Sean Diener (above) uses a microphone to alert the public to the extreme cruelty that chickens endure for KFC. Animal Awareness Secretary, Jenny Saccenti wears a chicken outfit with crutches to illustrate the crippling effect that the inhumane treatment has on the chickens.

Goldfinger lead singer, John Feldman (in red jacket & black hat), uses a microphone to call attention to the terrible way that chickens are raised and slaughtered for KFC. Animal Awareness volunteers hold banners and signs as well as provide literature to the interested public.
